After leaving Hiccup and his nightfury and ready to return home, Astrid was in deep thought during her walk. Wondering if she could help him come up with a plan regarding the discovery of the dragons nest.
Her concentration was brought back when the branches rustled in a tree just ahead of her. Leaves narrowly missing her head.
A silent giggling was heard.
Was it one of the other boys in the village?
That didn't seem to be the answer, As she looked up, the moonlight reflected on something moving. It appeared to be a 'Whispering Death' slithering along, but missing it's spikes.
Slightly frightened, but not showing such, Astrid raised her axe a little closer to her head level.
If it were one of the others trying to pull a prank, she wouldn't allow them to get the jump on her.
If a dragon, then be prepared for a more serious matter.
Whichever, draw it out.
"Okay." She said, intention for whatever was in that tree to hear. "Show yourself!"
